中国古代神话故事中的奇迹与英雄
The Legend of Chang'e and the Moon
In ancient Chinese mythology, there was a beautiful goddess named Chang'e who lived on the moon. According to legend, Chang'e was once a mortal woman who drank an elixir of immortality given to her by a wise old man. After consuming the potion, she flew up to heaven and became immortal.
Chang'e's husband, Hou Yi, was also known for his bravery and skill with a bow. He shot down nine suns that were threatening the earth with their intense heat. However, after becoming immortal himself, he realized that he could not be with Chang'e anymore because she had become divine while he remained human.
Chang'e eventually fell in love with another god named Xiang Lun and left Hou Yi for him. Her departure from Hou Yi resulted in great sorrow for both characters as they missed each other dearly. This story highlights the themes of love and longing across dimensions.
