In this article, we will delve into the enigmatic world of the Xia Dynasty, exploring its origins, rulers, achievements and challenges faced during its reign.

The earliest recorded Chinese dynasty is believed to have started around 2100 BCE in what is now Henan Province. According to historical records by Sima Qian (145 BCE-90 BCE), an ancient Chinese historian who wrote about Chinese history in his work "Records of the Grand Historian," Emperor Yu was said to have established this first imperial dynasty after defeating various barbarians at war.
