The Story Begins
The protagonist of our tale is Tang Sanzang (also known as Tripitaka), a Buddhist monk who sets out on his arduous journey to fetch sacred scriptures from India. He faces numerous challenges along the way due to his physical frailty and lack of martial prowess. To aid him in this endeavor are three supernatural companions—Monkey King Sun Wukong (also called Sun Wukong or Master Sun), Zhu Bajie (Pigsy), and Sha Wujing (Sandy). Together they form an unbreakable bond as they traverse treacherous landscapes filled with demons, monsters, and otherworldly dangers.
