The gods were moved by their plight, and Ugg, the father of the gods, created a spark that would bring back light to Karleva. However, the spark was lost before it could be used. The two brothers set out on a journey to find it.
Their quest took them to Lake Aru, where they encountered a wise old fish who told them that the fire was now inside a white salmon. To retrieve it, they needed something made from silver and gold. They crafted such an object - a knife with silver blade and golden handle - which allowed them to extract the fire from within.
